FISH COOKING WORKSHOP
Fish, from our own sea during the fish cooking workshop!
Fish is delicious and healthy! But we Dutch eat the least fish in all of Europe! There's still much to discover in the world of fish. In this fish cooking workshop, you'll learn the art of filleting and making a rich stock for soups or sauces. We'll cover the many varieties and cooking techniques; from flatfish to oysters and lobster—this course is comprehensive!
Learn about various fish species and their different preparation methods. This fish cooking workshop is for more advanced home cooks and cooking enthusiasts. The Dutch actually don't eat enough fish. We eat almost the least fish in all of Europe! Our cooking workshop will teach you not only about the many fish species found in the seas and oceans, but also about different cooking and cutting techniques. Filleting fish is, of course, an essential part of this cooking workshop. We'll also make fish stock, which is certainly important for making soups and sauces, among other things. Cooking fish is generally not very complicated, as long as you know it cooks much faster than meat. Fish quickly becomes dry if cooked too long in the pan or oven. This is also part of our cooking workshop. And then, of course, all the different types of fish—what a diversity there is! But be aware that not all fish is caught sustainably and may even be endangered. It's also important to pay attention in the store to know where the fish comes from. In short, there are many components to our fish cooking workshop!
